The farm is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty on Suffolk’s Heritage Coast and looks out over the marshes of the River Alde and the shingle spit of Orford Ness.
Our family has been farming here for almost half a century. We care about our land and have always tried to manage it in an environmentally friendly manner.
Hedgerows of mature trees act as shelter belts for the orchards and we have recently planted two new woodlands. Land that is not in fruit production is grazed by sheep and cattle and managed under an Environmentally Sensitive Area (ESA) scheme.
The farm is a haven for a variety of animal, insect and birdlife. A survey in 2002 by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) recorded more than 70 species of birds on the farm.
